WHAT IS GET CYBER SAFE?
Get Cyber Safe is a public awareness campaign led by the Communications Security Establishment to inform Canadians about the simple steps they can take to stay safe online.
WHAT IS CYBER SECURITY AWARENESS MONTH?
Cyber Security Awareness Month (CSAM) is an internationally recognized campaign held each October to inform the public of the importance of cyber security.
WHAT’S NEW IN 2020
This year, Cyber Security Awareness Month is a time to appreciate our devices! It’s our chance to say thanks to all our devices for what do for us by giving them the care they deserve through acts of cyber security.
Each week this month highlights a different type of device and focuses on the different ways we can appreciate it — from enabling multi-factor authentication on your phone to setting up a unique network name on your Wi-Fi router.
THE WEEKLY THEMES ARE:
WEEK 1: Taking Stock
WEEK 2: Phone Week
WEEK 3: Computer Week
WEEK 4: Network Week
WEEK 5: Smart Device WeekLEARN MORE ABOUT EACH WEEKLY THEME.
YOUR SUPPORT MATTERS
It’s simple: the more Canadians learn about staying safe online, the better off we’ll all be. And the best way to grow the conversation about cyber security is to have more people involved — and that includes partners like you.
Together, we can help Canada Get Cyber Safe.
