Stop Hating Online: "Consequences" TV Ad Transcript

(Upbeat music is playing.)

Opens on a boy's hand that pulls a smart phone from his pants pocket. We see that the screen of his phone has a text and file attachment that says “Check out pic of Jack's girlfriend”. We then see his two feet on a moving skateboard.

Next we see another boy typing names of friends on his phone. The screen of his phone has a text and file attachment that says “Check out pic of Jack's girlfriend”.

Next, we see a teenage girl looking at the screen of her phone.  On the screen, we can read: “Check out pic of Jack's girlfriend”.

Next we see another teenage boy looking at the screen of his phone as he sits in front of a desktop computer and keyboard.  On his screen, we can read “Check out pic of Jack's girlfriend”. He types “Check it out”.

We then see another set of hands with a phone while on an escalator.  On the phone's screen, we can read “Check out pic of Jack's girlfriend”. The boy types WOAH!! He passes his phone to a friend (we only see his hands) that brings the phone closer to read.

We then see a girl's hands pick up her phone in a very dark room. The only light we see comes from her phone. She brings the phone closer and we see a text and file attachment that says “Check out pic of Jack's girlfriend”.

Another teen is sitting at a dinner table surrounded by people and plates with food. One hand picks up a phone and we can read “Check out pic of Jack's girlfriend”.

We then see a boy's hands typing on his smartphone as he's sitting on a couch. We see that the screen of his phone has a text and file attachment that says “jack.girlfriend.jpg” and the letters OMG.

The music stops.

We cut to a boy's hands in handcuffs as he is sitting and waiting on a bench.
